Working on Redwood midground

I am starting to add detail and more color definition to the midground of the Redwoods mural. Not happy with how the dead log was looking, I opened the area under it to show it's at the edge of a valley. Also lightened it up and have started adding a few plants.  Got more of a feeling of depth now.

  1. I love the depth in the second picture. The open path framed by the trees really creates an inviting feel that is only enhanced by the midground lighting.

I can totally see a cluster of chairs in front of the trees and a small table near the path, or by the root ball, to evoke a feeling of finding a forest clearing to sit and relax with a good book or friends.

I bet I'm not the only one who wants to see this finished. It's going to be beautiful.
